  3. ZCZC MIATWOAT ALL TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 PM EDT Wed Sep 23 2026 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America: 1. Far Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL90): An area of low pressure located a couple of hundred miles southwest off the coast of western Africa is gradually becoming better defined, and the associated shower and thunderstorm activity has increased since yesterday. This system could become a short-lived tropical depression on Thursday or Friday while it moves northwestward to northward. However, strong upper-level winds should end the opportunity for development by the weekend. Interests in the Cabo Verde Islands should monitor the progress of this system as gusty winds, areas of heavy rain and flash flooding is possible there by Friday. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...medium...50 percent. 2. Central Subtropical Atlantic (Former Tropical Storm Fay): Showers and thunderstorms have increased with the remnants of Fay located several hundred miles southwest of the Azores. While environmental conditions are only marginally conducive for development, this system could become a tropical depression again today or tonight if the current thunderstorm activity persists. The system is forecast to move westward during the next couple of days, and by the weekend upper-level winds should inhibit formation chances. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...high...70 percent. Forecaster Blake
  4. End of next week could have a couple warm days but some growing support for a very robust cold shot and early in October
  5. I need hurricanes at this point. Just one or two, but preferably three.
  6. Best thing about the Fall thread is Winter thread is right around the corner. Love the weather last night with the windows open and a nice cool night to sleep.
  7. Don’t worry. In a just a few short months we’ll be sitting in 40pg threads tracking a 1-3” clipper.
  8. 31 this morning, dew on the car roof was still frozen at 8 AM despite full sun. Average for first frost is Sept 20, so slightly tardy this year. Over the past 6 years, 3 of which had first frost in October, the average has become 3 days later.
  9. you know it's boring when we are tracking a regular fall noreaster and rooting for an inch or two of rain.
  10. Happy Fall to you sir! I'll see your cool nights, wind and all-things-pumpkin, and raise you campfires, hoodies, football, and changing leaves. Cheers to all!
  11. 2.5” event total in Ashburn, that was good. Feels like fall, finally
  12. 62F/DP 52F/breezy, mostly cloudy....nice day out there.
  13. Funny thing is, if 1888 or 1938 happened again this place would be on fire with mehing, complaining, complaining about the complaining, and strife. I mean RI got a historic blizzard and pages of the thread were filled with all out warfare accordion man.
  14. All I know is anything that brings some interesting weather is welcome. Doesn't have to be grid destroying events. I have a bit of a wind fetish so anything that checks that box will be nice as seems like a struggle to get anything even moderately stormy...at least in recent autumns. Nice breeze today. 62/53
  15. When did you transition from every storm missing and bermuda blues and a spot shower to destructive windswept rainstorm for days? The equinox?
  16. Nah.. I’m fine either way . Another boring rainer or a tree toppler . Let the chips fall where they may
