  1. Past hour
  2. Nice Noreaster but AWTTY the inversion prevented big winds. 55 mph winds might have been at tree tops but in all inland was meh in comparison to the 10s of better storms.
  3. Made it past 2” in scattered heavy downpours it looks like.
  4. The JMA summer El Niño correlations are cooler for France than the NOAA charts.
  5. I feel like we lucked out big time. Was expecting widespread outages and trees/large limbs down. No branches down here.
  6. Not sure if we've even gusted to 30 IMBY for the event
  7. I mostly didn’t pay too much attention to summer NH coupling for a reason and focused on SH cool season coupling.
  8. rain has been light here so far, storm total up to about 1/2 inch
  9. 6.50 Thought we were headed into a lull but looks like steady rain will continue
  10. The warm start to October continues to follow the theme of warmest anomalies to start each month since the summer.
  11. This is why your posts have very low credibility….we laugh, but you are taken with a grain of salt. But congratulations on an impressive rain event regardless of your silly posts.
  12. 9.88 for the month here. 4.58 the last rain event. 3.84 so far this event.
  13. I guess minus La Nina's skews it warmer. US Temp pattern was definitely a bust but I don't see why the northern latitudes should correlate so much in the Summer. The CPC didn't have any below normal anywhere on their lead Summer forecast.
  14. 3.39” in Syosset. Have a large limb snapped up top & hanging on by a thread on one of my maple trees.
  15. Not really when you consider the strongest El summer composite of 2023, 2015, 1997, 1982, and 1972 was cool in France which experienced the historic heat and drought this summer.
  16. Las Barrancas, Baja California Sur, Mexico looks like it could be close to the approximate landfall point for Hurricane Polo. It's a small fishing village with less than 1k residents.
  17. So much for not putting much faith in the amounts…will you ever learn?
  18. This was the reverse of the typical El Niño summer in Europe since the warmest anomalies were over Western Europe instead of Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
