  1. Past hour
  2. It is absolutely the smoke from Canadian wildfires. The northeast is getting the smoke bad. Here's some sat photos, the fires go way up into the north, but the worst is in the Ontario province.
  3. The Jordan Creek along route 100 looks about ready to dry up completely. I've never seen it this low before.
  4. High of 99 at 4:47pm. No smoky smell, but can see the smoke nearly overhead. Sunset should be interesting.
  5. Yesterday
  6. High of 90 today Side note: Has anyone else noticed the color of the sky this afternoon and evening and the orange sun? Is that smoke from the wildfires in Canada?
  7. Well, in due time. I like to enjoy seasons 1 at a time
  8. Goes satellite is down . It still shows smoke into C NH. If it’s clear and sunny into MA
  9. I'll have a blog update within the next few days, followed by an ENSO update next week.
  10. I've come up with 6 Solar analogs and 5/6 averaged positive NAO in the seasonal mean (one was very slightly negative), 3/6 had at least one month between DJFM that averaged -NAO and it looks as though the strongest signal is March. My money is on Chuck's formula shifting more positive from here on out, but I don't expect it to be an overwhelming signal, like last year.
  11. You really did need gills to breathe today... it's amazing how much you sweat just doing something simple like walking a few blocks to the neighborhood market to pick up a few things. Topped out at 98 officially here in Philly. Would have probably made a run at 100+ had there not been so many clouds... think most of the smoke stayed north today.
  12. 93 today here and MLI. Smoke will miss northeast of here completely.
  13. and the GOES Sats are down Sector Images: Northeast - NOAA / NESDIS / STAR
