  6. Isaias (2026) now stands alone in NC history as the largest tornado outbreak in the states history with 13 confirmed tornadoes on Sunday! The early calls for this being a prolific tornado producer were validated
  7. Interested in how the weeklies verify during an El Niño winter. If I recall they were excellent last year especially with temperature
  8. Well this looks paltry on the models for here now.
  9. I got a shot of the funnel which was rainwrapped on this storm. It was on the ground at one point as seen here in the NWS damage survey. I had to dehaze in lightroom to really bring it out. I was just west of where the touchdown occurred
  10. What is this shit? PJM has declared a grid emergency due to high temps and outages. Fall is usually when stations do their annual outages due to cooler temps. Man, those were the days. Now it's summer all year with 6wks of winter wedged in there.
  11. It is, indeed, looking dry in the SE the next ~2 weeks. The Euro Weeklies have been showing this for a number of runs. However, those same EW for 6 straight runs have also been showing the likely El Niño induced polar opposite (wetter than normal) for every one of the subsequent 4 weeks ending the Sun of Thanksgiving Week (as far out as they currently go): Dry 10/19-25: Mainly slightly wet 10/26-11/1: Slightly wet 11/2-8: Wet 11/9-15: Slightly wet 11/16-22:
  12. Today
  13. Was a nasty 2-3 day stretch for the area. We had ours the day prior. Same, no hail but winds were something else. No power for just shy of 4 days. Thankful for the Generac!
  14. 56° and the sun is finally winning out. Should creep near 60°. It’s probably a good day to clean out the pellet stove pipe.
  15. That evening was something else around here-crazy winds but no hail
  16. Looks like our area averaged out will finish around the 15th warmest first half of fall. The most impressive warmth has been to our west. This theme looks to continue for the next 10 days.
  17. The three Cleveland v TB games Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be pretty wild.
  18. I did and then went on my phone in bed to see the models.
  19. Ended up with 1.70" total over the past four days. Sun: 0.62, Mon 0.21, Tues 0.68, Weds 0.19 (since midnight)
  20. 0.80" might call that a good drink if it was bourbon in a glass
  21. Record hailstone in Connecticut from back in July during the 7/4 severe outbreak. https://x.com/ryanhanrahan/status/2110020388004462779/photo/1
  22. Fallstreak hole above my parents house this morning in Wayne. Pretty cool.
