Smoke from Canada. It’s supposed to dissipate over the weekend before we get hot. Tonight Is a perfect summer evening.

The haze today was dumb. Hopefully, this doesn’t become a longterm trend. Looking forward to a southerly flow because it’ll mean less of a chance at smoky skies.

Summer typically ends around that time . Hopefully we roll into Novie with 70's

Some spots might hit 90+ for 6-7 days straight. Sweet.

The summer of clouds and humidity. I had another heavy shower today. This dry, cool spell sure has been humid and damp lol. I'm looking forward to the first real frontal passage of the fall. Sudden strong NW winds and dry, cool air, with blue sky.

WB 18Z GEFS on the 19th has a cluster in the Gulf and off the Atlantic coast heading out to sea. EURO AI ensemble has a similar cluster in Gulf and Atlantic but the Atlantic tracks are closer to the coast.

It always amazes me how much of a difference there is for # of 90s pretty much every year between Chicago and Madison. Madison is only at 8 for 90s so far this year. Obviously the UHI is a major part of that, but still such a stark difference over only ~85 miles in latitude.

It’s the same in winter with warmer temps up here, But +1-2F in Jan doesn’t mean no snow.
