    Negative Nancy lol. Sure it can/could happen. But so could 1983 or 2016. You want more cold (and mostly dry) for your area? Root for more Ninas. I love 'em here lately. A strong to very strong Nino is very likely going to produce a mild winter overall, but with a juiced STJ and some favorable periods in the high latitudes to facilitate a week or 2 of cold, there is always the potential for a big east coast snowstorm.

From Phillyburbs: Three meteorologists on staff are potential candidates: Karen Rogers, who handles weekday mornings; Adam Joseph who is on weekday afternoons; and Brittany Boyer, who joined the team in 2021 and works weekends and some weeknight shifts. Is there any speculation that former 6ABC weatherman Chris Sowers is returning to his former employer? Sowers moved back to the area, leaving his job with a Florida station earlier this year, but seems content to blog about the weather at this point through his YouTube channel and Facebook page. 76F/DP 67F

    The flood watches east of the city probably could've been taken down yesterday AM although maybe Upton kept them up because of uncertainty with the surface low's evolution. But it was 100% obvious starting 48hrs out that the heaviest rain would be west of the city. The expectation was widespread 2-3" from what I saw which I think only happened in some parts of Suffolk. Much of Nassau and most of the city had 1" or less. I had maybe 1.7". Maybe someone had a flood warning in Suffolk but I was asleep. I wasn't optimistic since a lot of the models went to straight dry slot here but was a little pleasantly surprised.

    Amazing ! I can see the discrepancy even locally - northern Augusta County toward Harrisonburg is so green and lush, towering fields of corn- south toward Stuarts Draft the same... In between well - brown grass thats crunchy now... Highest event for the month was 0.44 ..

    Premature hook of their Cy Young winning ace in the 7th with a 6 run lead- after completely drubbing the listless Os yesterday- fueled the comeback win. This one game could propel the Orioles, sink the Tigers, and result in Skubal being traded at the deadline. Think about that.
