E PA/NJ/DE Summer 2025 Obs/Discussion
Hurricane Agnes replied to Hurricane Agnes's topic in Philadelphia Region
That is rare being in "Enhanced". I hit a high of 91 about 10 minutes ago with a dp of 79. I have now been transported to the swamps of Louisiana! Had bottomed out at 71 and it was already 85 by 9 am. Currently 88 with dp 78 at post time. -
How was 1983-84 for you? We had a very hot summer that culminated with 7 days of 90+ in September including a sizzling 99 on 9/11 (our latest 99 ever) and a 95 on 9/23 lol. 1983-84 was a very cold la nina here with a couple of moderate sized snowfalls,. 4-5 inches that stayed on the ground a long time and we even went below zero (which we did in a few years during the 80s, Christmas 1980, January 1982, December 1983, January 1985.) It was our hottest summer on record before 2010.

Yep, it's pouring here right now.
-
Were you heading to Lake Champlain? Perfect beach weather in MA.
-
first time since last summer i actually did not wear a hoodie or light jacket today just a shirt i am going to have to get used to it..
-
One tiny little cell has popped up to my south. Might get a quick downpour

you live in S Wey, we get it

3 years of absolute stress, horror, and torture during winter. Just absolutely care free now. Just wish I had today off.
-
Beginning of April I was feeling like crap, stepped on a scale and did a double take. Since then I've watched food & alcohol and increased steps a day to north of 17K and lost about 24lbs in 6 weeks. Amazed at how much better I feel and just how sneaky weight gain can be. Sent from my SM-X210 using Tapatalk

Omg, 5 minutes of helping wife outside I wanna die. I'm soaked from sweat.
-
Best I've seen is 8+. We get that, we're in for high end. As I've said several times, good mid level lapse rates allow for storms to survive the rapid terrain changes in these parts. It's probably our best insurance policy for organized severe weather in these parts.

2025-2026 ENSO
michsnowfreak replied to 40/70 Benchmark's topic in Weather Forecasting and Discussion
Just goes to show enso isn't always the culprit. After a hot September, the winter of 1881-82 was awful. Warm and snowless. Stands to this day as Detroits warmest (and 2nd least snowy) winter on record. Coming after the severe winter of 1880-81 it must've been a nightmare -
91/78 on my Davis lol
-
Storms? LOL.

If that cluster of showers in S NY can perk up and move E /ENE into WNE, that would kinda support some of the east-initiating mesos

Okay so Howard Beach is too close to the water to match my readings, it's only 80 degrees there lol, while it's 92 in Corona. Even Ozone Park is 84, which is somewhat cooler than it is here.
-
Same here. Feels disgusting.

IMO, 7.0 c/km or better.

Yeah that's not healthy for the mind nor body. A few A/C days here and there okay but weeks at a time, no bueno

Hopefully the shut ins and recluse ACATT aren’t just sitting inside . You worry about them in these locked in HHH summers that start early and end late.
