So... fail.

Not to begin a boring DST debate, but I'll just say that the ridiculously early DST which began a few decades ago has led to some things I'll never get used to, like ~7PM sunset / ~7:30PM dusk with snow still around. The other weird thing is that for the first few days after DST, most years the sun comes up later than it does on the first day of winter.

The models looked colder than what they are showing now. I admit that they will be wrong in a long duration cold pattern. I will never rule out snow until April though. Is that good jackass?

Care to prove me wrong?

This threat has been ruined because the cutter got stronger. -
You need to read your own past posts, even just a few days ago! Clown!!

Majority of them are friends in person from the SNE subforum. I think alot of people are just conservative in their approach. Im a winter weenie. There is 1 maybe 2 guys in the NYC thread who are big trolls. -
My hay fields laugh at some of the stuff posted here.

Absolutely gorgeous today, going to a conference in DC tomorrow. I anticipate skipping many sessions and going outside instead.

That was an interesting winter. It seemed we had several storms that dumped 2-3" and then rain. Always remember waking up to garbage falling. We had that one deformation band positive bust in January that snuck up to Boston. That was fun to wake up to. And then we have the demon later that month. I wonder if that Fall River band would have matched the euphoria I had on 4/1/97. I'm not sure that will ever be topped.

The first storm was an epic positive bust. It was supposed to be rain. It was like 40F with a NE wind that morning, but I do remember cigs were not low (I learned through experience that was a good thing if you wanted snow at borderline temps.) Rain flipped to TSSN. It was about 5-6" of mash potatoes at my HS in Taunton. About the same as I went to work at Stop & Shop in Brockton. Topped off with an inch of fluff as it dropped below 32. That was a fun one. I was in between houses so living in Hyde Park at the time. For the second one, I remember watching Cantore crap himself on air...and then went to look at my thermo. It briefly got to 36 in the heavier stuff. It tried lol. I think it got to about 128 briefly or so (RASN) line.

It’ll be back and I actually kinda think next winter’ll be a decent, backloaded one (I still think there’s a chance we squeeze in one more accumulating snow this month too). Otherwise, enjoy the warmth some. There’s plenty of fun to be had in NYC during the summer. After today, I’m kinda looking forward to it! This hobby is so much more fulfilling once you learn to appreciate weather of all sorts.

I would be a little surprised if it got Strong or greater on the RONI. - Yesterday

Trough early next week looks very progressive. Still many days away, but no model is spinning up a storm right now except for maybe northern U.S.

Thanks, I appreciate your input. First time I've ever seen this, but also only the second time since being here that we've held onto snow this long.
