  2. So sorry to hear about your dad John. He was an incredible part of this community. RIP.
  3. Sorry to hear, best wishes to your family. His is a username that goes way back and it will be a void not to see his posts.
  4. In all seriousness there's little in this world I hate more than yellow jackets. I noticed quite a few buzzing around me today when I was cutting up a tree. They ruin the nicest part of the year.
  5. Yesterday
  6. Im so sorry Your dad was a staple to this community. He was a great poster. RIP
  7. Last night I had the thunder at the end of the world. Just to the east, shaking the ground like a quake.... deep, deep rumble, like a lion roaring at the zoo. So deep you feel your insides shaking. I jumped on the radar thingy really quick, and it was rather benign looking, but I quailed until it passed by. That there had the makings of a death storm had the rest of the signs been propitious. Just glad it didn't go off over head. It might have liquefied my innards.

    Winter 2025-26

To be fair, JD wasn't predicting that the warm water would end up NE and wasn't suggesting that it was migrating there. He was just pointing out that it was something to keep an eye on and that winters where it does end up there can be severe for the eastern US.
  9. Or do like I did a while back and douse them with Raid and set them on fire (seriously do not do this…trust me)
  10. The most amazing thing about that 7/8-year stretch from 08-09/09-10 to 15-16 is that we put up those snow totals despite having 2 years with virtually no snow in the middle. Imagine how much more those snow totals could have been if we got anything in 11-12 and 12-13. PHL could set a record for the lowest 10-year running average snowfall in 25-26. Anything less than 13.4 inches would break the record of 13.2 inches average from 1922-23 to 1931-32.
  11. You should let them get really really big and then throw rocks at them
  12. White face hornets have been busy down here. I’ve nailed three nests on my house in the past few weeks.
  13. And just to fuck things up, I found a big yellow jacket nest underneath our pool deck. This should be fun. (A paper one in the floor joists of the deck)
  14. Men in suits carrying briefcases galore the last 3 days, You couldn’t describe COC any better.
  15. First 80 degree dew of the year in the bag here.
  16. wait, they throw themselves a party? I've never heard of that. lol
  17. Very nice outside. Currently 80° with a dew point of 64 and a South wind at 15 mph. Better dog walking weather than last week
  18. Agree! While there are a handful of great Mets on here that apply actual forecast techniques to their outlook comments, many posters are just regurgitating whatever the newest model run shows, regardless of its likelihood of occurrence...
  19. I didn't notice any. In the woods across the street there many, many more dead ash, lots have fallen too. If I was staying here, I'd grab some for firewood, no need to season. Where I'm going, I'm going pellets this time.
  20. Sadly I’m bay side which flattens the waters. Which I’m ok with cause it helps keep my bait on the bottom. But fish just like the chop better for stirring up food to feed.
  21. Yeah let’s do it. Kev can help ring in their Anny in style! Graham does not mince his words Kev knows many many lol
