  2. Verification of Messy Tuesday Evening Forecast Strong Effort Here is the Eastern Mass Weather forecast issued on Monday valid for last night's minor event. The forecast overall was very accurate, although there were a few amounts that narrowly exceeded the 1-3" range over the northern portion of the forecast, it was by a very small margin and they were few and far between. The outlier 6" report from Gloucester, MA is dismissed as being highly suspect. Final Grade: A
  3. Also March is going to start out in MJO Phase 6. Good luck trying to get a cold/snowy pattern out of that.
  4. First day above 40 since the mild up in early January. Still above freezing at 10:45pm. Currently 34 IMBY. The melting continues.
  5. Strong Forecast for last night. Grade that one an "A". https://easternmassweather.blogspot.com/.../verification... Storm potential for Monday remains very dubious. Here is the Eastern Mass Weather forecast issued on Monday valid for last night's minor event.
  6. Same ole Clemson team year in and year out in basketball. Always gives their fans false hope but it shouldn't. Look at their schedule every year and see who they have played. It should be no surprise but I will be a Clemson fan when they play the holes in chapel hole.
  7. That was an amazing performance by Chock and Bates in ice dancing tonight. Such a close race with the French team who eeked out the gold. Well done USA!
  8. Right at the end of my road: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP89Gn2VK/
  9. 3/2-3/8 and 3/9-3/15 being AN shouldn't really be a surprise. The MJO is going to be in phase 6 to begin March, which is normally a torch phase for early March.
  10. The sky is red? the other side of the Earth is ON FIRE!
  11. The three weeks from Jan 18 to Feb 7 being the 2nd coldest stretch, and #1 coldest for around Cleveland, Saginaw, a couple spots in Michigan, and some of the Mid-Atlantic. The value of 12.1 degrees F at Toledo is comparable to the 2nd and 3rd coldest months here, Feb 78 and Feb 2015. However, comparing a specific 21-day period to one calendar month is a little bit of comparing apples to oranges. In this case, I guess I would be comparing this 21-day value to a full 28-day long month of February, as mentioned.
  12. 1.2”/0.04” new…not sure if I should include it with last night. If so that would be 6.5”/0.48” total Still some flurries
  13. It drops a stripe of 3-4" up the entire CTRV (me and Hippy wouldn't complain) and drops over 4" precip on you Sent from my SM-S166V using Tapatalk
  14. I'm at 47.6 (seasonal 56.5), so still down -8.9". However considering I initially called for 80% seasonal in my preseason forecast (45.2), I'm actually up on my expectation. Sent from my SM-S166V using Tapatalk
  15. That must drop the whole PV nipple north of ME into the southern wave with absolute surgical aplomb.

  17. Jeez keep that on ice Steve. Totally forgot about your knee replacement.
  18. Let's reel this one in. Hey, storms this time of year create their own cold air.
  19. Yikes, sorry to hear that. Sucks to have things happen because of physical limitations. I’ve been dealing with some newly diagnosed heart problems (AFib), it sucks not to be able to do the things you want/need to do. But hey, it can always be worse.
