  1. Past hour
  2. In leominster right now and some of these gust are wild all of a sudden
  3. I know the mood is in the gutter and the pattern is literally shit with little or no signs of recovering, but weak nina winters tend to be very volatile and I would not at all be surprised to see the cold east making a big comeback mid Jan through early Feb.
  4. Might need to spend a bit more after this season’s start.
  5. Some bigger branches and even a small tree down in my neighborhood. Yikes
  6. We wouldn’t want a cold stormy pattern without you! Have a great trip. Catch some rays. Work on your tan…
  7. So it gets windy after the precip shield? Meh-rrimack valley never does well on these southern gales. So we’ll see.
  8. 12z gfs looks great for NNE with the clipper on 12/23. Looks warm south of pike and most of eastern ma
  9. Cross sound ferry,NWS reported, they have a davis station, my house surround by trees got 50 and my parents house got 53 on my other davis station.
  10. Numerous records have been tied or broken through 11 am:
  11. It’s important to note however that Eric Webb was calling for a similar pattern as last year back in November (+TNH). His main caveat is that -PNA episodes would be more frequent this year. So far that is the case, and if @40/70 Benchmark is right, we could improve things by mid Jan. The phase 8 hype was clearly over the top and the MJO entering phase 8 (and then collapsing into repeated fast-moving KW’s) is what is about to give us this pattern. You’d almost want to see the MJO re-emerging over the MC in phases 4-6 to enhance the standing convection over the Indo-pacific warm pool, which would inject some more momentum into the pacific jet and help nudge things eastward.
  12. A few years ago after a nasty T-storm knocked trees down my town trimmed most of the trees around any power line so it’s been better since then, but it’s a higher end wind event here for sure. Probably some 55+ gusts.

  14. Frankly ... no social media should be preferential for information source people. None, or very little of it, regardless of the outlet, has been reviewed and adjudicated. You may have some social media spaces that are less corrupting - unfortunately, even the best, well-intended sources are still prefiltered subjective stews of untested, perhaps well-articulated "accidental gaslighting". This is a beautiful expose' going on, right here, right now, demonstrating the perils of creating a faux reality constructivism that is unguided, and becomes a destructive force in the common threading that holds a society together - by believing the social media is better than verified, refereed and/or adjudication, shows a break down in the common trust that is vital to former health of civility. There is also an element of not knowing any better - 50% of the population density is just stupidly naive and for lack of better word, gullible to believe whatever jerks their strings. Social media is at best a tongue in cheek distraction from the pacing of the real, which exists outside of blue screen technology chode tugging. But humanity is apparently, morbidly, got that and their beliefs kerfucked-up and backward.
  15. Alot of woods here with above ground lines but our town has been aggressive in recent years in removing trees near the lines-has made a difference.
  16. Wind is ripping down here now. Already a few blips in the power grid.
  17. They make a boatload of money from "side" events such as tours, concerts, football, soccer, and numerous other events. I once attended a focus group at Fenway. The focus group was held in one of the boxes. I am sure it wasn't cheap to rent the box.
  18. And that line that fell apart in jersey maybe rebuilding over long island looking at radar
  19. Gnarly squall like growing in the ocean south and east of montauk.
  20. 40 mph at my Syosset station and 35 mph at my Muttontown station so far for highest gusts. Lots of trees down on northern blvd & power pole partially snapped around street corner from my house.
  21. Looks like the tues system blooms overhead on the 12z GFS with some snow for most all.
  22. I also live in a wooded area with above ground lines. It’ll happen at some point
  23. I have a friend who teaches meterology for a college. Very smart guy. He is supposed to call me in a few hours. I have alot of questions for him lol. I will let you know what he tells me.
