That’s the rain coming in. I just started to measure at my Cherry Grove station. Highest wind gust today so far 36 mph at 6 pm.

Recent passes of Hurricane Polo show flight-level winds around 150kt and pressure values of 909mb or a bit less. The TropicalTidbits satellite view now has a 914mb pressure shown. (not sure if this is the official value)

The WWS was great, but a little dry for me. Loved it but not my favorite year. At Dewey Beer Co now, and the aged pumpkin is silly good. Reminds me of the older, original Greater Pumpkins from Heavy Seas when they were good.

I'll cut off my O/T banter but yeah, there's already been Leach's Storm Petrels reported from Lewes, DE and Eastchester Bay (NY). Decent sign that this storm could bring in some interesting rarities along the coast -- MAYBE inland if the pieces fall into place.
