  1. Past hour
  2. It’s an illness and I actually think something good can come out of it, otherwise I would have been sleeping at 10:00 pm.
  3. Well I hope you all get some well-deserved rest, and while you sleep the models self correct and you wake up Saturday to good news, even more snow than we were seeing on the models on Monday and Tuesday.
  4. Wonder how that is going to interact act with the system? It’s heading west/southwest .
  5. My advice, go to bed. Nothing good can come from this. I'm tired, but my insomnia probably will win out.
  6. This is an impactful winter storm and we (DC) are likely going to see a warning level snowfall followed by a few inches of sleet and maybe some freezing rain. Followed by frigid temps. That’s historic and IMO folks need to stop complaining their 16” of snow from 3 days ago are gone. Move on and accept it.
  7. I can barely see straight and have to be up at 5:00 am but I’m staying up for your Euro pbp. Bring this baby home for us.
  8. lol oh yeah, he's probably a few drinks in. gotta let it slide.
  9. People are just exhausted man. Me included.
  10. It’s warming as it pops the secondary east of CC so it rains in sema. Weird.
  11. Helps to put your location in your profile. I've no idea where "me" is.
  12. RGEM and NAM are 10-12 hours of snow before a flip to sleet. There could be a few hours of heavy snow. RGEM begins transitioning in NYC by around 3pm with the NAM a few hours later.
  13. yeah before it was to end around midnight-2am monday mronign latest model run still had it snowing moderate at 7am
  14. making hot chocalate. maybe this will summon the powder
  15. I don't see much other than noise on the models tonight. They have started to lock in on this one IMO. I'm a big analog guy, and as we all know the weather/climate tends to run in patterns. As stated a few times, this a very similiar setup to dec 2002 in a lot of ways. Not a perfect comparison, specifically b/c it was in early December, however it was one of the better ones I could find. The GFS is also reminding me a bit of 2/2/96 icestorm with brief changeover to snow at the end. That system was probably the worst icestorm in recent history for the foothills and also similar to this one with the STJ wave diving so deep into Mexico, along with some northern stream phasing and bitter cold following it. This will be a very memorable storm, so buckle up.
  16. Like recipe for concrete. Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  17. Yep, and it just seems all the models have to offer the DMV, is more sleet and less snow these days.
  18. honestly I do not envy being a big NE city mayor during a snowstorm, particularly NYC. Fucking up a snowstorm will turn the city against you with a vengeance. There was a storm late in Bloomberg's last term where some of the outer boroughs didn't get plowed in a timely manner - boy he got ripped to pieces. And then early in BDB's tenure, the city wasn't ready for a big storm to hit. Dude got raked over the coals for weeks. Snowstorms are serious business in the city that never sleeps.
  19. Last time yall. Stop with the politics. Please and thanks.
  20. Back to other things - who else is watching the Australian Open?
  21. 0z GFS put down a little over 2 inches of snow at TYS followed by .33 sleet then a half inch of ice and back to snow for another half inch. Tops out a 33 degree surface before crashing.
  22. It’s just like Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, just watch your ears.
