  1. Past hour
  2. Pea size hail now with this cell near Enka Candler.
  3. Rained until almost noon time here. Now raining again. Back down to 61 from a high of 63.
  4. Intermittent light showers so far today not amounting to much. Did well yesterday with a little over an inch.
  5. Torrential rainfall here. Localized street flooding also.
  6. Oh my I'm going to have a nervous breakdown because they can't ever get clear of the trees! That is a truly crisp sculpted specimen though. Just a little more jet dynamics (upper and LLJ) would have produced. Which brings me to Friday. SPC language reads like a decaying tropical system. Meh lapse rates but low-level helicity. Be nice to get more structure like that at least. Drawback is that - just like tropical - anything will be brief. Advantage is it'll be mid-afternoon, no late drive back. We'll see. Marginal chance to save my season, which right now is going about like that of my KC Royals. Valid Friday May 22
  7. Wish I could will it further south for yall. Approaching 1 inch on the day, .93”
  8. Maybe another shot for some locally strong storms as long as the front times right
  9. Shockingly Chattanooga got a true summer morning soaker. Also the CPC 6-10 day chart is AN rainfall. Given what's on the way Friday and Monday, scattered over the weekend, and whatever after that.. Barring an epic failure some drought relief is incoming.
  10. That storm started as fluff but then went to shit ratios albeit still coming down hard.
  11. Yea, that radar doesn’t look promising at all. When I said it was sagging SE, I should have said that I’m getting lucky that some are developing overhead.
  12. A day late and a dollar short on the wedge. We can’t do anything right around here. Hope RDU folks score this round tho.
  13. Meh.. that stuff is a goner imo. I like that action developing down to the sw in VA. That's probably our shot at rain this evening south of Baltimore.
  14. The warm nose is rearing it's ugly head. We just can't seem to win.
  15. The showers are finally starting to sag southeast.
  16. I have been planting my entire pollinator buffet garden (annuals edition) between light showers. My seedlings a bit overdue but ok and these conditions are awesome.
  17. A 75:1 ratio….sounds almost impossible? But I guess not. That’s truly impressive.
  18. Love a good slop fest pasting. Sun angle is going to be a thorn in our side this time of year.
  19. Another cell just popped up and is over downtown Atlanta in almost the exact spot as the storm that created all the flooding issues yesterday. This is actually moving, though, and the rain rates seem to be less than they were yesterday.
  20. 1.23" last 24. Expecting 1 - 2 inches additional later this afternoon and tonight.
  21. BrianD said it best. A big pond, some latitude and it's a different world. Recovered nicely today with a high so far of 54, has since dropped a couple degrees with a light ne breeze. Better than yesterday.
  22. Today
  23. Tuesday and Wednesday should be quite warm next week (though obviously nothing like this week). Wednesday though we'll see a front moving south so there will be a gradient within the region so northern areas may only be a one day ordeal.
