Hopefully that makes the temperature drop a little more quickly tonight. Now down to 93 here, for some reason 93 now doesn't feel as comfortable as it did at 10 AM this morning lol.

On a happier note my dewpoint had been dropping from the low 70s in the early afternoon and is now down to around 60.

I would take the over +5 on that temp line for Friday and Saturday highs.

10 degree jump in 5 days, not too bad! Usually the lake tops out in the low 80s in July/August.

Made it up to 101.5F. Hottest I can remember in quite some time. Seems like most heat waves we’ve had the last decade underperform because of the humidity. This event had the mixing out of moisture that made the triple digit heat widespread. Pretty historic event!

Don't count on it. If you get that it will be ocean wind induced. Not happening for me that's for sure. Unless winds go dead and I can radiate like last night, but I don't expect winds to die down.

Same here. Touched 102 briefly and started around 75.5 this morning.

Finally down to 95 here. I hope it gets into the 70s tonight. My bedroom temperature dropped by a degree lol

you're right, i made this right after the pm climo (CLI) came out and it was 85, the next update was at 1am and they changed it to 90, i didnt notice. Looks like they hit 90 really late (7-8pm) after the winds switched from E to S. ill update it, thx for the info. Still no record tho

Right now in Charles Town 91 degrees, with a TORRID 79 DEGREE DEWPOINT! That feels like an anteroom of Hell at 106! MGM National Harbor High 101 Low 80!! DP only 62. You guys are burning right up!

Topped out at 98.6 which was probably only limited by cloud cover. Still managed a heat index of 114 which was the second highest I’ve ever recorded here, slightly behind last year

Uniform 95-100F 7pm obs (elevations/coastal aside) really is special

Yeah it really is. I’ve had to make a concerted effort the last few days to just slow down because it’s such an adjustment fromlast week. But I wouldn’t trade this for nearly anything..the vibe is fantastic! Took this pic earlier when the sun was at full blast and a freshly bloomed Lilly for good measure.
