8:28AM EST

Fifteen years to the day of an unusual early season snowstorm for parts of the region and, especially, the northeastern US, another early shot of winter weather will affect the region today.

Moderate rain continues to overspread the region from southwest to northeast. Temps have fallen into the upper 30s to lower 40s from north to south. As the shortwave approaches from the west lift will increase making the rain become heavy at times by this afternoon. By this time some sleet and snow may start mixing in with the rain across northern MD. However, by the late afternoon hours rain will rapidly change over to a heavy wet snow from west to east as the main shortwave moves over the region maximizing lift. Most areas should be all snow for a duration of 5 to 8 hours with the longer “all snow” times north and west and the shorter times south and east.

With the strong dynamics of this system along with ample lift and even a small amount of elevated instability, snowfall rates will peak in the 3 to 4 inch per hour range with localized bands reaching 5”/hr. This will completely snarl any Wednesday evening traffic and widespread power outages will result from the weight of the heavy, wet snow on trees and powerlines. Adding to the power issue, winds will pick up as the surface low deepens rapidly this evening with gusts reaching the 30 to 40 mph range. Although visibilities will remain below a quarter mile for the duration of the snow event, have opted to not issue any Blizzard warnings as winds should stay just below blizzard criteria.

Snowfall should depart the region by midnight with snow totals of generally 1 to 2 feet with higher drifts. For the remainder of the work week temps will remain moderately-below to well-below normal with low 40s for highs and mid/upper 20s for lows.

Oy this game, lol Bills have won 11 conscuctive times coming out of a bye week...and consequently Josh Allen has never lost coming off a bye. Both teams have defensive issues...but obviously the 5-1 team is performing better.

Like I said...we cooked and this season is probably a transitional/rebuilding season--we shouldn't expect too much as the new staff figures things out. EDC's seat might be warm, lol

How did ya like that first drive? Started great with poopy Loop. Defense is what we know they are.

I’m a Bills fan, and I don’t like to see Jackson go to the locker room. He’s a great player, hope his hand is ok.

This is what happens when the OL is decimated and was poorly built to begin with.  EDC may lose his job after this season.

Lamar and his mom's gamble to not get an extension done before the season may not pay off if this is a multiple injury lost season for him. Ravens will likely move on(given how bad the defense is) but some other desperate team will probably overpay.

They are not moving on, man, lol No team gives up their franchise QB because of other parts of the team being bad. And neither of the injuries were Lamar's fault; clearly bad luck (especially this time), and both clearly created by a terrible offensive line.

You are proving my point. This team needs a rebuild. Lamar is injury prone. Why give him a record breaking contract under those circumstances? EDC had been bad but he isnt that dumb.

Lamar has had bad luck, man. You don't ship your QB off for a problem you created. You think he gets hurt if the OL is good? Not nearly as likely. Same thing last year. When has Lamar ever had a phantom non-contact injury that kept him out? Almost never. "Yeah Lamar we didn't protect you and you got beat up...so we gonna trade you, our franchise QB". Not going down like that.

You have a strange way of thinking about how teams and players think, man. You swore Alonso wouldn't wanna spend his prime years here...yet here he is all in on making things better.

The guy is always hurt.

He got hurt behind a bad OL now twice this year. Both contact injuries on passing plays. How is that his fault? In fact, first two injuries of his career? Contact injuries on passing plays.

So like...you can't have an awful line then when the QB gets hurt as a direct result of it say it's him, lol

He is gonna be 30. How much you wanna give him and for how long knowing the state of the team and his style of play as he gets older? Alonso will end up playing his best years for a loser if he plays out his contract.. Different situation.

Lamar has grown into a VERY good pocket passer. He can now go several games without running too much and still win. Even 3-4 year from now he will likely maintain enough mobility to still present some kind of a threat even if not elite. And certainly more than good enough to win a SB. His vision, the way he sees the field at an elite level, runs the offense at an elite level...he will still be good for at lest 3-4 years of a 5 year contract, imo

If we had anything that resembled an offensive line, Lamar would probably never have gotten hurt. Elite QB's in the past always had walls in front of them to help protect the primary asset. We haven't done that expect for 2019, and even then, we had a glaring hole at LG which we haven't filled since Ben Grubbs departure.

No I am not. I have no clue why you can't see how the OL is splely to blame here. I am looking at this logically: Steve Biscotti will never support giving up his franchise QB--period. EDC either--havinf the build OL DL and then magicallt find a QB? Not happening Especially when the cause of the problem isn't Lamar's fragility but the OL.

I was already right about Alonso. If Lamar is still here next year we will see who's right
