Not in this case smoke at the surface is pretty much maxed out.

Scrolling around trying to find the worst ob.  Philly's 95 with 6 mile viz is a candidate.  Grand Rapids, MI with an 88 and 3/4 mile viz is another.  HGR is entering the game with 91 and 4 miles.

The smokiness seems to have ramped up in the last hour or so. Can barely see the Sugarloaf range and the Catoctin’s look “foggy”.

Northwesterly flows haven’t done this area many favors over the years. Need to get a prolonged flow out of the gulf to fix this mess.

It’s noticeably worse here. 178 up in York. Air now has red boundary right at the md pa line

I reluctantly went biking earlier for the first time in 3 weeks and actually didn’t find it too bad. But I just stepped outside and can absolutely smell it. It’s like a chlorine/smoke cross. This continent needs rain.

Was up in Philly today. It was far worse than Baltimore, everything had a chlorine-esque odor. There was fine particulate in a lot of surfaces.
