Here comes the humidity. It was comfortable here 2 hours ago…not so much now. Hopefully we get some rain later to cool us down.

This will be my last full week in the Lehigh Valley for awhile - possibly ever? I’m moving to Denver in a week and a half because it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to live and I’m now in a position to give it a try. It gets hot out there sometimes but it’s a dry heat. “Humid” there is a DP of 60. It’s going to be quite the adjustment but I’m looking forward to living in a place with such volatile weather.

All the best to you out in Denver!

Hope you’re cashing in when we’re under some SE pig ridge/-pna from hell regime!

Enjoy!  I want to see pictures of October and April snowfalls, and maybe some tornadoes, too!

I will definitely be doing some chasing out there! It’s actually a big part of why I’m moving, so I can be a short drive from the plains of eastern CO. They get some nasty supercells out there and a decent amount of tornadoes.

You're going to love it out there. Wide open spaces to your east, mountains to your west. I loved my time living just north of Denver in Wyoming, the high plains chasing is unmatched! I am also set to be moving back west in less than 2 months to join the NWS at one of the offices out there.

We have had quite a wet start to August with most spots seeing between 1.8" to around 3 inches of rain over the last 5 days. Some additional shower chances are possible later today and again on Friday night. We should finally dry out by Sunday. Early next week it starts hot with a chance for some of our valley locations to possibly reach 90 degrees both Monday and Tuesday. Could those be the last chances of a 90-degree reading till next spring?
