37°F in Belmont, NC. Pumped to see any amount of snow, truly. 

What's everyones plan for sleep haha. I think I am going to try a brief nap here soon, waking up around 3-4 AM as of now, don't want to miss a moment - worried I'll end up just staying up all night and tomorrow!

That’s an elevated warm front. Aka frontogenesis. That’s where theres the most lift and the banding will set up on that model. 

Is is directly over the top of that or does it develop downstream of a feature like that? Apologies, very MBY of me but the top of that is right over my head here on the Alamance/Guilford line. Wouldn’t mind a micro feature like that to “dry slot” proof us early!

Good question especially as a Trianglite....probably stay up til like 2am getting drunk playing poker and then check outside any time i wake up to take a leak ahaha. first sign of stickage i stay up

Was just about to say, radar showing a snow shower just to my north in Roxboro (aka NC snow capital)

Getting in on the big flakes now in Stuart VA.  Its been snowing lightly there for probably 3 hours now.

Can confirm it’s snowing pretty good here just southeast of Roxboro.  Ground is covered at my house.

If frontogenesis can happen over Charlotte I hope we get thundersnow. I remember my best snow at UNCC was a surprise frontogenesis under an ULL.

The flakes that are making the ground are "shattering" as they hit the cars.

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but I do love the atmosphere allowed for snow immediately. No watching the wet bulb, cold flakes as soon as the radar turned green. Officially snowing.

Report:  About 3/4 inch of snow so far north of Roxboro in Bethel Hill.

Please don’t call it that. Greensboro averages more snow than Roxboro, and neither hold a candle to the mountains. It may be the snow capital of the WRAL viewing area, but it is far from the snow capital of NC.

I'd say Stuart VA is approaching at least a 1/2" already.  It hasnt stopped snowing at the farm for hours now.  Getting a little heavier now.
