Can’t say I love what I see thus far thru 48. Don’t like the fact there is interaction starting to be had. Western ridge is def more stout.

Almost copy paste from the 18z out to 60h. Moisture a tad slower.

Blowtorch may be coming up from the south from Cumberland Gap, gonna push snow north…maybe WNC/Eastern TN and points north see mostly snow and higher elevations get some decent snow…but most of NC will be dealing with an IP/ZR deal.  All those high snow totals will probably be north of the Ark/TN/NC borders.  Then all this will lock in for a bit with these lows coming in.  Lots of lights out between Cherokee and Mebane along 40.  But, just my opinion.  Been a great ride folks! Yup.. at 60 there were already some significant changes. By 72 heights are screaming. You could also see Baja low starting to tilt neutrally here. I honestly haven’t even looked at surface yet because upper levels don’t lie.

Surface isn’t overly horrible for sleet/snow in the common areas. I guess one thing we may have locked down for sure is cad is going to be impressive amongst all guidance. GFS 1043 on the Canadian/NY border.

This is a very odd miller B. So much separation, it’s not even really a transfer. Almost like a double barrel miller A.

Could get some backside snows if the second low transfers in a good spot.

Well… GFS definitely caved. Snow all the way up to Toronto at hr96. Definitely needs to be a study to how literally every model was so wrong.

Just a day ago we were looking at a major snowstorm for many, but now it's an ice storm. At the very least it shows sleet in my area. I'll take that over freezing rain any day

Not sure where you are seeing that. WRAL is showing it switching over to plain rain.

This run is still keeping the counties on the Virginia line in play. A shift of 50 miles back south between now and Saturday night is doable.
