George BM
Feel like I just posted last years version of this the other day. Anyways, getting right into it, what weather event(s) made an impression on you during the last year? For me. 1.) The June 19, 2025 severe thunderstorm event (ENH risk day).I got 50+ mph wind gusts with sheets of rain through my neighborhood that afternoon when a fast-moving line of severe thunderstorms blew through the region. 2.) Just days later there was another strong, though more localized, thunderstorm that developed overhead and was nearly stationary dropping over 2" of rain and bring another brief period of 50+ mph wind gusts. 3.) Probably the snow events we had early in the year.
JenkinsJinkies
1) January 2025, had snow on the ground nearly the whole month and had a couple “snow on snow” events. 2) October 29, the coastal storm that dumped a decent amount of rain. First rain event since late summer that didn’t have a series of walk backs in the lead up.
Terpeast
It snowed on my son’s birth date.
MN Transplant
For a single event, I guess I’d go with the January snow since it was only the 2nd time in 6 years that we had 6”+ on the ground. And it stuck around forever unlike the Feb snow which was gone in two days. Really though, the story was the complete lack of precip from about mid-July forward.
MillvilleWx
Mine was the January snowstorm that dropped 10+" for my hood, but a very close second was the absolutely immaculate August in these parts. It's been since the summer of 2014 where we had August temperatures like that. It was a welcomed sight after a brutal 37 day stretch from June 23rd to July 30th with the heat and humidity, including 120+ heat indices during the late June heat wave across parts of the lowlands.

Snow cover weenie through and through. The second event was impactful in terms of coastal flooding in the bay.
PrinceFrederickWx
1/6/25 snowstorm was event of the year and of the decade for me (so far). Really that entire January was good, with snowcover lasting until the end of the month.
NorthArlington101
Was out of town (disastrously) for Jan 6th but the Feb 11 storm was alright. Pretty boring weather year unless I'm blanking. Seeing aurora again on Nov. 11 might be the only other highlight I can recall.
DanTheMan
1/6 was probably it for me, especially considering it stuck around so long. The February storm was nice - I ended up jogging something like 4 miles in my snow boots to meet my buddy at the bar. Was my last storm in FFX county before I moved. I'll also second MillvilleWx that we had one of the nicer Augusts I can remember.
TSG
January was a nice reminder we still can get sustained winter conditions around here but overall boring weather year IMO. As other have said late summer was a nice treat. Not quite 2014 level but close. The last 90+ degree day at CHO this year was Aug 17!
