I’ll happily take anything from that first system but I think the real threat is the MLK one. Need that first one to clear and help slow the flow down behind it some, give us a better chance at a phase. Better downstream ridging and a bit of -NAO wouldn’t hurt either if we’re making requests.

Frustratingly close but a laundry list of things needed to trend in the right direction for the 15th. Between the flow in the North Atlantic being too progressive and the trailing waves following too close to give the trough room to go negative earlier, feels like we’re fighting it from both sides to get a phase. Don’t know if there’s much of a middle ground solution here either, at least for those of us further west.

Euro was a beaut.

For the mountains. Both Euro and GEFS snowfall means ticked up for most in Carolina’s with the overnight suite. Both systems have potential here and we’re seeing solid miller A potential from both. GFS evolution was wonky to me, digging energy into the SW and holding it back. Would be great for overrunning but everything seems to trend more progressive with time. Euro is amped and a legit miller A with the second storm. First storm is soooo close across guidance just not quite there on anything
