I know it's only mid Jan, but I can't deal with another under 40" winter, only once in the last few years have I eclipsed 40" here, after the first two winters since moving to Winsted were 90"+, there's only been a couple seasons that were anywhere close to the average here. been big cold tho at times.

I liked the torch winters better.....nothing worse than consistent cold and an absence of snow. #givemebackmycc

But the pictures of the depth of ice fishing holes really get my mojo going.

several (I) usually refers to more than 5.

Couple/few I always thought were about the same in terms of a numerical reference

Yes, "a few" generally means more than two but not many, often interpreted as 3-5, so it is more than two, but its exact number is flexible and context-dependent, though "a couple" is often used specifically for two. While some strictly define "a few" as three, it's usually understood as a small quantity greater than a pair.

We should start a "county thread".....where they can virtually gather and complete the circle of prostate massage while viewing the pictures.

No need to gather virtually…you just go in person and enjoy the winter time activities. Good stuff.
