Temp 33.2
At least we finally now where all jet heat from kmdt goes to now. If your temperature is 33.2 I would implore you to follow the weather in Rockville or Baltimore right along the Chesapeake bay like the temperature maps show. It will prevent you from being disappointed.

Back home I have a mix of sleet and freezing rain with complete ice coverage on sidewalks and 1/2 the street, up from 1/4th the street at 515. In good news I'm close to 11/15 in Camp Hill and traffic is sparse. Screenshot_20251226_174016_Wunderground.jpgScreenshot_20251226_174026_Wunderground.jpgScreenshot_20251226_174038_Wunderground.jpg

My temp dropped to 27. We just walked to the neighbors house for a little kid gathering and man things are slick already. Driveways and walkways were wicked. Roads still hanging on but I have a feeling things are going to be BAD later.

It’s ugly out most everything iced over. Just hope everyone keeps power. And if you don’t have to go out….stay inside.

Nut I burn sticks, mostly Cherry & Oak sometimes a little maple cause it’s easier to pick up.

Visiting family out by Montgomery Co and it’s plain nasty out. Sleet accums with freezing drizzle mixed in. Ice skating rink out there. Big batch approaching. Going to get loud and uglier out.

Hope everyone stays warm and safe with this mess.

27/23°

Make it 26°. Yeesh

It’s pretty infuriating this isn’t snow, by the way. Like cmon Mother Nature, throw us a break.

I know the feeling.  Once again, my sister back in north-central NJ (near Morristown), hits the snow jackpot.  Mt Holly has them picking up 5-9", the highest total anywhere in Mt. Holly's CWA.  Meanwhile around here...the mixtures continue.  Temp has risen a tad now up to 28.6 degrees with a dew point of 25 and a wet bulb of 27.3.  That means there is still some room left to drop back again if I can get some heavy stuff going for a while.  The latest update from CTP for the Carlisle area has the main part of this storm winding down in about 3 hours with very little additional the rest of the night.

I think she may be more like us when it ends with observations currently from that neck in the woods. Those people I feel horrible for. Having a 6"+ snowfall pulled from under there feet by the waa gods. Going to be a lot of sad little kids.

As someone who watches the lightning detection systems religiously.  In c p a take the lightning count and multiply it by three, and that'll be closer to the the amount of strokes that are actually occurring.

Is it because of lack of detectors? Or what do you feel the cause is?
