Quite a few of our valley locations saw temperatures well below freezing this morning including Warwick Township (22.7) with a low more than 10 degrees colder than here in East Nantmeal (33.3). We moderate a bit today and especially over the weekend with temperatures reaching well into the 50's. Rain chances increase by tomorrow afternoon with a cold frontal passage, and we turn much chillier again by Sunday night. Temperatures next week look to remain below normal with highs in the 40's and low in the upper 20's for most spots.

I'm glad i don't work for you, I'm an HR nightmare :whistle:I don't do well with assholes. You know the ones, they have the "Dicktim" disease. where  they act like a dick. then act like a victim about it. And BTW i have an impeccable employment file, spotless :guitar:

It's funny, I refer to myself (proudly) as the "Anti-HR guy" in HR because I spent nearly 25 years working in warehousing both here and at my previous job. I think that's allowed me to keep a good pulse/relationship with the people here that truly matter...the ones that get shit done. So many people in HR are clueless about what's really important to the blue collar folks because they never lived in that world. I did. My career changed after I was here, married, raising my family and THEN I decided to go back to school while doing all of that. My HR career only dates back to 2015. I think I strike the perfect balance of holding the line but also being a voice for the people. I honestly love what I do.

sounds solid brother. Unfortunately its not always that way. New managers come in and wanna show their testicular fortitude. when they try and make guys look bad, I am always pleased to show them they're wrong. LOL last month i was called in about to get written up because i called a manager out. He was smiling until i dropped the company policy book on the table and said where is the section that says this is for hourly employees only? HR guy looked funny and said that book is for everyone :sizzle: ended up back firing on the new manager and he got a verbal warning for breaking policy. The young fella's master degree didn't help him with that battle.

I'm for the people

All right guys. Here's my snow shower video running up to New York on Tuesday. Nothing crazy as far as winter weather goes, but the first snowfall of the season usually causes problems on the freeways...

Make sure to change the video quality to at least 1440p for best video quality.

Sunday is going to be rough. Advisory snow from lake bands in the north. Advisory level wind everywhere. White outs as far as as 81. And some gusts north of 55 mph.

Pattern turns blustery behind the cold front late Saturday
night through Sunday. Wind gusts 30-40+ mph are definitely in
the cards with potential for advisory criteria. The increasingly
strong west-northwest flow will develop across the Great Lakes
and open up the potential for lake effect/upslope snow into the
interior of CPA Sunday afternoon through Sunday night.
Specifically, a multi-lake connected snowband or bands is
trending more likely to probable based on the latest higher res
model guidance extending from Lake Superior/Huron across Erie
into northwest PA. Probabilities are at least 50/50 for advisory
level snow accum especially in more persistent NW flow
trajectory bands. There may also be an emerging signal for some
squalls or very long fetch bands perhaps extending as far
southeast as the I-81 corridor.

We were keen to message the multitude of potential hazardous
weather concerns over the weekend in ranked order of confidence
(high to low):

-strong (non-tstm) wind gusts >40mph
-lake effect snow accumulation north of I-80 & west of US-219
-heavy snow bands or squalls
-strong thunderstorm wind gusts >50 mph

Low of 37. Quite the blustery day on tap for tomorrow. @Itstrainingtime still haven’t forgotten about your Grunk inquiry, just been super busy. At this point I think I’ll just take in today’s game before commenting ha. I do know this, it’s been nothing but heartbreak hotel for this team lately. They really deserve to have something good happen to them here down the stretch.

Eight years ago today we were in the middle of a snowstorm that would bring between 4" to 7" of snow across the county. A little different here today with today being our warmest day till Friday. Clouds are on the increase with a few showers possible by evening. Rain amounts look pretty light with under 0.10” A cold front crossing the area will move through overnight and we will see winds increasing from the west and temperatures dropping during the day on Sunday. Below normal temperatures for most of the work week with highs in the 40's and lows near or below freezing. We warm to near 50 degrees on Thursday with rain chances increasing by Thursday night.

Great early season storm! It started as a little rain & wet snow in the LSV. The heavy precip band arrived in the late morning & the snow rates became heavy by around noon & persisted until early evening. I think we got 8 or 9” of snow. Many people went to work because it didn’t start until mid morning & most forecasts were for maybe a slushy few inches on grassy surfaces. The heavy rates meant business & it was one of the worst commutes home for me. I-81 was a nightmare that afternoon in the Harrisburg area with many accidents.

I was driving bus back then and since we weren't super busy, I had a scheduled day off that day. Our lady driver wasn't so lucky, and had an NYC run that day. She said she had one hell of a drive back home that evening. I screenshotted Google Maps around supper time when it was the worst, and I'd not before (nor since) seen that many red roadways. It was a region wide driving disaster. The only other time it might have looked as bad, or worse, would have been VD 07, but I don't think we had Google Maps back then.
