I'm going to attempt to clear the driveway enough to get one vehicle out today. It looks like the Town of Maggie Valley plowed the road leading up to the house early this morning. Those little blessings of being the last house within the Town limits I suppose.

So it looks like a minor event may be possible Tuesday night into Wednesday. We'll see about that potential the next 24 to 48 hours. I've heard rumors that NCDOT is running out of salt. I hope it just a rumor locally for our Mountain Region!

Yeah I've been reading there is a salt shortage across NC. Maybe because of the storms being back to back? I'm not sure.

Down the mountain I heard Cleveland County was almost out completely.

This storm gets an A+ from me. Lot's of snow,  cold, windy, large scale storm. What a freaking two weeks.

I agree with your A+ rating. The guidance overall handled it rather well with sniffing it out which is really important for seeing the possibilities a week out! I do not see any real relaxation of the pattern well into February. We are paying for the warm Christmas.

About 7 inches total. Not an all timer. But....... I still agree with the A+ ! I love the super cold snowstorms. It was a beautiful snow. It snowed all day long . It hasn't immediately melted, and probably won't for a while.  Plus, at least here, there has not been a lot of snow since January 2022. So, an A+ is the only grade that makes sense.

Steaks about to go on the grill! Look at my truck bed. My dad has had more than enough as you can tell. Closing in on 18 with 2 foot drifts. Still snowing lightly. Hoping we make it home tomorrow! What a storm!

.

Where is this? Wow
