Looking at all the information this morning I think all of wnc with the snowfall rates will see 7-10 inches of snow with very low visibility.

Also, we're looking at temps in the low 20s, or even lower during the heaviest of the precip per the 6Z EURO.

As time progresses and cold advection intensifies and deepens,
profiles will become increasingly supportive of snow:liquid ratios
of 15-20:1 during the day Saturday.

17 at the house this morning. So we are going to do this thing? It's been 4 years since more than 5 inches has fallen from one event in my yard. I believe we're going to see some dynamics that the models can't sniff out until a couple of hour out!

Hard to go against the Euro.  Pretty much putting us in the bullseye of this thing. Frozen ground, arctic high, heavy snow, and windy. Has all the recipes for short term blizzard conditions and whiteout conditions around the mountains this weekend.

12Z HRRR came in bone dry. But it's not time to look at that yet.

3k NAM looks just like the Euro great for us western NC folks

It moved west still some work to do to get to euro but it’s better. I also think there is some feedback issues with it.

QPF went up a bit. That's a good sign.

The NAM moving towards the Euro is a great sign at this range.
