ChescoWx
Our great stretch of weather continues this weekend. We should see above normal temperatures near 80 degrees through Monday. We fall back close to normal with highs in the mid to upper 70's by Tuesday. Our very dry weather unfortunately continues for at least the next week. The Iceman
Last fall repeat and ngl im here for it. Endless sunny and 70’s days and low 50/upper 40 nights. Let’s keep this going until about mid November.
ChescoWx
We will start to notice some increasing humidity over the next couple of days with temperatures around to a little above normal for the next few days. We fall back to closer to normal by mid-week with lower humidity levels. Mainly dry again this week with a slight chance of showers toward Wednesday night. ChescoWx
Temperatures should again run a bit above normal today and Monday before we turn a bit cooler and see at least some much needed rain chances for Tuesday night through Wednesday. Looks cooler again by next weekend.
ChescoWx
We have only seen 11 above normal temperature days in the last 44 days. Today should be one of those rare above normal temp days with highs well into the 70's to near 80 degrees. We turn cooler and possibly wetter by the middle of the week with our best chances of a little light rain coming on Tuesday night into Wednesday. We see a brief warm up by Friday before we turn quite a bit chillier once again by next weekend.
ChescoWx
It’s a good bit cooler today with the flow off the ocean increasing and mostly cloudy skies. Despite the current NWS forecast for mid-70's I suspect across the higher spots we may struggle to escape the 60's to near 70 degrees for high temperatures today. Some showers arrive this evening and through the day tomorrow. Certainly not a lot of rain but any and all will be appreciated by our many area farmers. We briefly warm by Friday to the low 80's before we cool down for the weekend.

ChescoWx
Most spots have picked up at least a little rain since last night. The most I can find is the 0.27" down south in Nottingham with the least at Chester Springs with 0.01". Today we should see a continuing chance of some showers but again with the greatest amounts across Southern Chester County and down into Maryland. We stay in the chilly 60's with the ocean flow continuing through today. We start a brief warm up with both Thursday and Friday reaching near 80 degrees especially across the valley locations. We turn much chillier by Friday night and could again see some 40's for low temperatures across the typically chilly valley locations by Sunday morning. High temperatures in the lower 70's. Of note today is the date of the earliest freeze in recorded Chester County weather history when we reached 32 degrees at Phoenixville in 1986. Chadzachadam
Pouring here in Philly. Slow mover too, might get half an inch or more. Heard one rumble of thunder. I thought it was a 18-wheeler hitting a pothole. Overall, a nuisance light drizzle/rain. Just enough to keep the critters happy. Still dark, 6:00 a.m.
JTA66
That 18-wheeler hit three potholes by my count. Finished with .15" yesterday bringing my monthly total to 1.90". 61F
ChescoWx
Some folks received beneficial rains of up to 0.76" at West Bradford....while others like Warwick Township saw only 0.06" of rain. Here in East Nantmeal we are running at about 50% of our normal September rainfall. Year to date we are at 97% normal rainfall. Unfortunately, I don't see any chances of rain over the week. We will turn warmer both today and tomorrow with temperatures several degrees above normal for afternoon highs. We Turn cooler again for the weekend with highs by Sunday close to 70 degrees. ChescoWx
Today may be one of the last days this year that we see widespread 80-degree readings across Chester and SE Berks Counties. A backdoor cold front will cross the area later today switching our winds to the north and eventually the northeast by tomorrow. Tomorrow’s temperature will be almost 10 degrees cooler than today. Seasonably cool weather looks to continue for the next week with our next slight chance of showers arriving on Tuesday.
ChescoWx
Through the first 8 complete months of 2025 the average temperature across Chester County has been 55.3 degrees this is the 37th warmest start to a year since records began 133 years ago back in 1893. Drought guy were in trouble man Yellow leaves here and the winds picked up so they are falling at a good rate. And what the hell are you doing in a Walmart parking lot observing leaves falling? I may join you with a couple cold ones...

Like usual, people took advantage and made it their home rather than one night thing and be on your way. Probably left trash behind as well. Pizza boxes, Old Milwaukee, Pabst cans etc. Something Eddie from the movie Vacation would do...

Not included in the abnormally dry in the last drought maps i have seen which is bizarre it's a tinder box in the woods. Drought guy were in trouble man I am not too worried yet. Its dry like this on average years during this time frame. Concerns: 1. Being a neutral year, we are in for a real cold and snowy winter which will definitely help the groundwater tables. See lots of northeaster's and the potential freezing rain/sleet events early in December. Expecting some nice rains by mid October as the warm pattern breaks down. A good tropical storm up the east coast can really help get us out this stubborn pattern. 2. The leaves are scorched brown and falling off. No color until we have temps in the 40's again and highs only in the low 60's. Do not see that happening until the second week of October folks. 3. I agree. We need some decent rain by Wednesday, otherwise burn bans will likely go into effect in the next week or so. The canopies are dry and the scorched leaves falling are not helping. 4. Even the tent caterpillars died off in this early warm spell before autumn. This is been the latest I have run the AC in a real long time as overnight lows struggle to get to the 50's
