This is by far the hottest June stretch on record in the northeast It just hit 102.6 here, but the clouds moved in =\ It hit 102+ twice already, once at 12:36 (and then clouds came) and then again right at 1:00 (and then the clouds came back.) The clouds are the only thing keeping it from 100+ for everyone. In my experience if there is a dry downsloping wind in the summer it will always hit 100 here unless there are clouds and there are always clouds, I've never had a completely clear summer day here on a very hot day. Don, why is it that when the sky is 75% clear that clouds still seem to find a way to cover the sun? You'd think going by probability that 25% cloud cover would mean that the sun would be shining 75% of the time, but it always seems that the clouds are in the same part of the sky as the sun. This happened here yesterday between 3-4 pm and now today

It could have been 106+ again today if it wasn't was for those darned clouds.
