PackGrad05
The rain/snow line on the 00Z HRRR is pretty much identical to 18Z. The main difference is that it reduced totals by half in NC. At least for the triangle, this has all the makings of some initial sleet/snow falling for a short period of time (if that) and then quickly going to all cold rain. BooneWX
This is probably my last run of looking at the models for this event. I think a lot is decided by mid afternoon tomorrow regardless of what the models are showing. I hold some hope that cloud cover is going to cap temps more than what’s projected. Even 2-3° will have a big net impact 12 hrs later.

BornAgain13
Looks like a solid 1-2" Snow for northern NC/southern VA with some locally getting 3".
olafminesaw
The North trend is back better than ever. Looks like a great even for the central/Southern VA Piedmont. Still some hope for the Northern NC Piedmont, but fading

ncjoaquin
Yesterday's record snow for the date from 1971 when it used to snow more than a half inch. 16.3 inches. Of course, even a half inch is a struggle. YESTERDAY 0.0 16.3 1971 0.0
stormwatcherJ
Man this forum is pretty dead considering we have a chance at a little wintry mix early in the season...I know the Triangle isn't looking at much potential, hoping I can squeeze a little something out of this system here in Hillsborough. I'm a little less than an hour south of Danville.

olafminesaw
Soundings for Guilford county, just north, and just south. Truly could go either way at this point
