There are few things better than in summer going from a 90s humid day to a 65, low clouds, drizzle all day long with when at urs best a nice stiff east wind. I actually can enjoy my time outside in those conditions.

A new BP for the Sox.

For basically the past 25 years I would watch my horrible excuse of a baseball team give away game after game, year after year. There were times when I honestly thought that I would never see the Orioles turn the table in my lifetime. Selfishly...it's weirdly gratifying to see my team on the good end now. It's been a long, painful ride. Still no World Series appearance since I was 18.

I'm no expert on forecasting...your thoughts on this?

I was mostly joking but it is certainly not too late to see snow in the air.  Doubt it would accum, regardless of GFS panels.   Would be a shock to have temps down near freezing again if next week pushes 90.

Remember we had snow showers a few years ago in the beginning of May that did whiten the ground on a Saturday. So anything is possible.

May 9th, 2020, Mothers Day 1977, I think 2013 as well.

The 5/9/20 event is remembered well, strangely because it was the day I finished off my partially torn rotator cuff trying to remove an old kitchen faucet. Had to call my nephew to finish the job.

It was the first time I'd ever seen snow in May.

59 degrees and kind of a light drizzle this morning, not much wind.

I have been mowing with a Wright Sentar zero turn. It turns 20 years old this summer. Broke down and bought a new Toro Titan zero turn.  Kawasaki engine and a 52 inch cutting deck.

Going to be a slight change going from a stander to something with a seat.

Clouds and showers to close out the work week with the heaviest rain likely overnight tonight. Sun returns and cooler on Saturday before a nice warm up with temps into the mid 70's for the county next week. Longer term a return to below normal temps looks increasingly likely as we move into next weekend and toward the end of the month.
County records for today: High 89 West Chester (2013) / Low 20 Phoenixville (1921) / Rain 2.06" West Grove (1929) / Snow 18.5" Coatesville (1894)
