Some tiny flurries when I left just now, sitting at freezing. Nothing out in upper Crabtree besides the flurries, looks like Chambers Mtn and it’s ridge line along with Crabtree Bald was the stopping point, both have some fresh snow up top and Crabtree Bald is currently getting a snow shower it looks like along with back towards TN.

26 with flurries here. Flakes have been falling since around 11 this morning... barely enough to coat the mud.

Mud?!? Don't you still have a foot or so on the ground?

More evidence of the French broad River valley warmth. Buncombe county schools 2 hour delay tomorrow except Owen (most eastern) and Enka (most western) districts which are remote learning.

Do you also work in Buncombe?

Nice dusting on the ground here now.

0z HRRR with a big shift west with the precip shield. Develops an area of snow tomorrow afternoon that pushes east quickly.

Nice. At least we're back in the game so to speak of for now. Who knows how far that northern edge precipitation shield will push back west tomorrow but it's sure looking better right now than it did earlier today.

Crazy to see these trends and it makes you wonder, how much further can it go? If we trend any more positively, suddenly we have an impactful storm tomorrow.

also shout out to @Hvwardwho called this days ago when everyone was jumping off the wagon.
