Good gravy.  A 5-6 degree drop.  Nut is the hot spot now!  :-).  Welcome to the club.  78 here as well but no rain.

It started dropping immediately with the onset of the cloud deck. Breeze has stiffened...pretty remarkable change in the weather that happened quickly.

We...are an awesome group.

What other region can have multiple pages to discuss a partly cloudy, warm and humid day in mid-September? We got Bubbler breaking down cloud cover by county sections. We got PaWeather giving rainfall amounts for areas 1500 miles from here. We got the trainer talking about freaking sprinkles. Throw in some obs from Cash and the Candyman, and we got 'er covered.

We get all serious about all forms of weather! :)

Looks like 5-7" inches down there.

NWS Houston is warning of 10-15" if it stalls. The models are in two distinct camps ... you want the one that doesn't stall so it's only 6" and not a mini-Harvey (it won't be anywhere that close, but that's a biblical event)

We have to keep the NWS on their toes.  :-)

They're everywhere. It's really no point in trying to kill them, it's like plugging a Titanic-size hole with chewing gum.

I read yesterday they're as far west as Kansas now.

It would have been interesting to see how hot it would have gotten if not for the hour or so of cloudiness...station is up to 85.8 now and still rising...

We ended up getting to 81 as the sun popped out around 4.  See MDT is holding at 84 so they probably would have added at least 2 degrees with all sun.
