2" of the wettest snow I have seen in my short life this morning in Primm Springs, TN. Just a notch above freezing, but due to the high moisture content of the snowpack, the roads are still covered here. It will quickly melt on roadways, which is good, because I will be driving to work in 1 hour, and I'm glad it's not at or below freezing.

Curious to see how long the snowpack remains here. It won't vanish as fast since it isn't the fluffy dry stuff and we have the low January sun angle to work with.

With so much moisture it may stick around into tomorrow or Sunday, especially if it stays cloudy. It will be a slab of ice tonight once it gets into the 20s.

Looks for Morgan County, it was elevation and location dependent. IMBY we had a SE wind all day yesterday that strengthened at dark and that should have been a clue for me. Here is the SE slope of Lone Mt. 10 min from my house (2500'):

But on the N slope:

Just north in Wartburg:

Further NW I could tell the wind was more out of the NW and there was more snow, but not as much as I thought:

How do you guys upload pics here? It’s telling me max size is 1.95MB.  That seems small.

I take a picture and then a take a screenshot of the picture with my phone lol

I take a phone pic, then send it to my computer, then upload it to IMGUR. Once you upload it to IMGUR, right click on it and choose "copy image address". You can then just copy that address into the text fields here and the pic will pop up.

That way does not count against your max upload size or the total amount you can upload

Yeah I know how to do all that, it just felt quicker to me to screenshot the picture I just took and upload that. Because screenshotting the picture seems to put it at around 1mb but the quality still looks good

I may be doing it the long way. I was trying to get that info to Itchy Algae but was too lazy to go back to that page, lol.

Band has really developed Maryville to Morristown. Moving southward.

3” here total. It is melting quickly now. Water is pouring down the driveway. I would love to know the liquid equivalent of this event. Probably around .5-.6 here.

There's power outages here in Lee County. The amounts have been pretty uniform with generally 5-6" reported  Eastern sections with 3 or so far western section of County.

Melting taking place now as Temp. Is 34. Still some very lt. Snow falling. It was an all snow event here.
