Sometimes I feel like the weather is mocking me  image is from weather prediction center Twitter account.  I mean it snowed in Southern Louisiana but not here?

Currently 33F at the house and precariously close to another freezing drizzle morning in the Valley. Clouds are very low to about 3400ft.

Yeah - I left yesterday. Was worried about the sub-32 temps forecast and getting stuck on the mountain.

From Ray's Weather Center:

..... Backwash moisture on a northwest flow contributes to flurries or scattered snow showers, especially tonight, though anytime during the day is fair game.

Anybody know what he's talking about?

Maybe he's talking about what's over Arkansas and back into the plains that's rotating into WTN? I didn't see anything from GSP about it.

Looks like some freezing rain/snow showers will be possible along the Escarpment tomorrow morning.  Something to watch.

Just for reference it's already as cold now at my house as it was for the freezing rain non event a few days ago..If we get any precipitation it could be icy

Yeah I was just going to post it is already down to 29 at my place. I don't think it got as warm as they thought today. Also the last two nights have been very cold with lows of 14 and 15 respectfully here.

Dropping rapidly here as well. Down to 36 with a forecast low of 37.

Could be some slippery spots between the hours of 6am and 8am.  Putting that information into my southern winter weather calculator I get the results of 4 gallons of milk and 6 loaves of bread per each four member household.
