The pattern is set up beautiful for many of us now. Cold systems every week or so. I don't like seeing a lot of cold and ice early, but just remember, the pattern in November the winter will remember. Yeah, the point was to show how far off the model was with just a 1 month lead time. How can you believe it's anywhere close to being correct 2-3 months ahead of time if it can't even get the next month close to being right? MoWeatherguy
That's a pretty strong arctic front. There should be some kind of wave associated with it, at least some mood flurries.

The Waterboy
The HRRR looks a lot more amped than the actual radar. I’m wondering if more precio develops or if models are overdoing it.

JoMo
Yeah, they are playing catch up with the WWA's because they thought there would be minimal road impacts, but there's already been like 7 accidents in the last hour in my area. Chinook
Fayetteville, AR says thunderstorm in vicinity, heavy rain, 34 degrees, Bentonville AR has unknown precipitation, Rogers AR (next to Bentonville) has freezing rain. Apparently the Tulsa metro area has freezing drizzle, snow, and unknown precipitation.

Yeah, it is pretty nice. We will have to see how long the different pattern lasts. MJO is going to be going back into the 'cold' phases by the end of the month it looks like. So, there might be changes at that time.

MUWX
I'm hearing that there are a lot of wrecks in the Springfield area. Still snowing at a moderate rate. I think the NWS definitely underestimated the impact of this one.

We may get cold again when mjo makes it back to the 8,1, and 2 phases? It looks like we are going to warm up for sure once mjo makes it to the 4 5 and 6 phases. Im just confused on all this lol. Pacific air will be flooding in and things are going to be kind of boring for a week or two at least. Someone posted the Euro weeklies here and it's kind of 50/50 unsure. But this looks somewhat better:
