The 2024 path on the map PF posted looks about 30 miles NW of maps I'd seen earlier.  That would put my planned viewing spot on, or just off, the south edge of totality.  Got over 6 years to clear things up.

 

Here's a good map that shows the totality boundaries...flagstaff lake looks well within it.

Yeah I saw on the NBC live feed that it looked like a few breaks happened during the totality period...at least enough to see it with glasses. It got really dark there which is cool.
