Yeah not a bad look at all. Of course we want good snows but just tracking a threat inside 5 days is a bonus in this winter.

Haha you can say that again.  Watching models in February was about as interesting as watching paint dry.  GEFS is impressive like WOW said.  WNC looks to be a good spot to live if you like snow over the next week.

.Increasing Confidence of a Weekend Winter Storm for the North
Carolina Mountains...

.A cold front will cross the region today, with much colder air
filtering in behind it. An upper disturbance will push into the
Southern Appalachians Saturday night into Sunday, with moisture
streaming across the mountains ahead of it. Snow is expected to
develop across the higher elevations of the North Carolina
mountains Saturday afternoon, with snow levels dropping overnight.
Snow may mix briefly or change back over to rain Sunday afternoon
before drier air filters in.

Oh come on now! Plenty of time for some changes!

The problem is, the first wave has been continued south of me for a couple of days, and I just don't see how it could come north since it hasn't already.(maybe?). The second wave would have to give us a miracle and phase a lot sooner to really do much. There's still time for it to happen, but the southern wave just isn't strong enough to phase sooner.

Looking at new data, Asheville will be lucky to get 2...

We all know this will most likely change as the day wears on, weather was saying in the Jan. storm Asheville would be lucky to get a couple of inches, wellllll ended up with 7 of which I thought, 5-7 was what I was thinking then, Mets are very conservative of which you can't blame them.  The day of the snow before it started they then said 5-7 for Asheville.

I.E. the 0z Euro and EPS which both looked fantastic for our respective backyards.
