Absolutely crazy RI We are sitting here on the edge of our seats trying to figure out where this beast is gonna go. I've never seen so much disagreement and divergence between models and ensembles in this short of a timeframe. If this ends up tracking further west than expected as some of the ensembles suggest, we are gonna be in serious trouble here in Exmouth.

NorthHillsWx
Ragasa is looking mean this morning. I’m shocked Josh is chasing this, looks like it is traveling between the uprights in terms of splitting the populated islands in the area
Chinook
There are two typhoons, Neoguri and Ragasa. Neoguri as at 95 kt, and Ragasa is at 100 kt and heading toward the strait of Taiwan, eventually towards Hong Kong as a large storm. It is expected to reach peak intensity of 135 kt (category 5) at the strait of Taiwan, so I'd expect a large amount of rain is heading for Hong Kong. The WPAC has been very below normal ACE.

Looks strongly like he got the eye of a likely still major storm. Good for him this was a wild chase I can’t wait to see his videos
Chinook
It's likely that Typhoon Ragasa was at 95 knots when it passed near Hong Kong. The wind gusts topped out at 66 knots at Hong Kong Airport.
gallopinggertie
Not sure what intensity exactly Ragasa was at when it made landfall. Maybe a low-end Cat 3? According to Wikipedia, the Chinese coast saw impressively high wind speeds/gusts: ”At 12:00 CST on September 24 the coastal city of Jiangmen experienced its highest wind speed ever recorded at 67 m/s (220 ft/s), equivalent to 241 km/h (150 mph).”
