vespasian70
Switched to rain in coshocton county.... That's surprising. Light snow here, so you should switch back soon.
jbcmh81
Port Columbus only reported 1/2" through midnight?? On like 0.2" of liquid, all snow? I know ratios aren't great, but come on.
OHweather
It's pouring rain/snow here with a slushy coating on cars. Temps spiked to 35F near midnight but have slowly settled back to 33F as winds finally tuned out of the north. Somehow, paved surfaces are icing over. The rain washed salt off the roads and ground temps are still cold which may be contributing.

wxdudemike
Never changed to snow here in Cincy. Cold rain, but the dense fog has lifted at least at LUK. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
dilly84
Finally! I'd say 3" on the ground here so far. 3 in Knox. Gonna bust in Cincinnati it seems as I had at least 2" there. Need 3 more in the I71 corridor to hit it.

vespasian70
Snow wrapping up here. I'd say a little over 4". It's compacted a lot though so it's hard to tell how much really fell.

Powerball
Visibility is reduced, but looking at the streetlight you can hardly see any flakes. Pixie Dust. When you start off a storm with the bolded, it's typically not a good sign in my experience. But it's still early.
snowstormcanuck
Light snow falling in northeast Scarborough. Very little wind given the lack of pressure gradient. It'll make for easy measuring.

Haven't measured yet, but about 2.5" here. Same with compaction here. If it was a few degrees colder, we'd have close to 5" easily.

I agree, if I were expecting 6-10"...but for 4" over 12 hours...I kind of expect extended periods of meh rates/flake size.
snowstormcanuck
I gotta say...it's a fairly dense pixie dust that's accumulating decently. Trees coated...bald spots on the grass getting covered up. Can't complain.
Trent
Maybe 1.5-2" of dense snow here a few miles north of CLE. These events sure make you realize how 2" of dense synoptic snow is not equal to 2" of lake effect fluff.
snowstormcanuck
Flake size has improved a bit now. I'd say we have 1/2-3/4" down. As long as this storm doesn't haul ass we should be able to get into the bottom end of my 4-6" range. Not seeing much banding either here, or upstream, so I think 6" is a pipe dream. osubrett2
3.0" IMBY. Amazing heavy/wet snow. It was still 33F on my drive to work so highways were mostly fine.

Definitely, if this had been a cold storm we would have done well. Marginal temps and the heavy snow never really locking in for long periods hurt accums. When I went to bed the radar looked awesome but the snow was light. Hard to tell how much but I'd guess between 2 and 3. Roads are now just wet. I can't believe they cancelled school in Westerville! Probably want to use up some of those snow days they haven't had an opportunity to.
