Flurries just started here in Metuchen (25 miles SW of CPK) with temps down to 33F - love that evaporational cooling, as it was 36F a couple of hours ago. My guess is 2" of snow, followed by 1/2" of sleet, then 1/4" of rain (including maybe a little bit of freezing rain), and ending with 1/2" of wrap around snow. Rain will be largely absorbed (except on roads, which will see more melting, due to traffic and the indirect sunlight and especially if treated) and the whole slushy mess will freeze solid tomorrow night. Looks like some serious sleet just getting into Philly in that big NW to SE oriented line on the radar...hope that holds off on getting here too quickly. That is one serious band of sleet for sure... 45-50 DBZ heading northeast out of Northern Delaware...
