Euro qpf ranges from 1.5 in CT to 1.25 for most of MA and 2-4 for the northern 2/3 of Maine. It ain't hay iow. Catskill region of New York with 1.75-2.5 for a little mini southern jack.

What's it got in VT out of curiosity...looks like it's long winded with precip here and NNY even out at 120-126 hours.

I'm getting tempted to start up the wx bell subscription again.

It definitely looks like a good soaking. I hope we get some snow setups with this kind of QPF :)

It's sort of against our climo to do well in these types of set ups with long easterly fetch just in that often the moisture won't make it this far inland, but those mid level circulations are huge. It does happen, but it's sort if like the Catskills or northern Berks into the Greens...you need a darn good moisture stream to get back into western New England and New York with those big QPF values.

Yeah that certainly makes sense. GFS is modelling a pretty ridiculous 850 mb low with this system.

Overnight euro stepped things up in terms of qpf. 1.5-2" of rain in SNE. 2-2.5" northern/ne ma/e ma coast. 4-7" of rain on the maine coast! Not going to be a continuous downpour but more of an off and on thing where the rain totals come in bursts if you are not in nne.

Sustained east ne winds of 30kts at the maine coast with heavy rain. Likely gusting to near 50kt. 60kt 900mb LLJ over downeast maine.
