Its amazing how quickly the temperature falls off after a warm day this time of year. Somerville for example is down 19 degrees in the past 3 hours

 

 

I was thinking the same thing. Long nights / lower dew points doing their dirty work.

 

Yesterday I hit 77.4F at 530pm, and was down to 57 or so by 9pm. Today I hit 83 and am already down 21 degrees to 62 right now. At this time of year it's very difficult to keep the nights warm, particularly w/ clear sky conditions.

some warm spells 80 degrees or higher for three straight days for late September and October...

following is a list of years with at least three straight days 80 or better for late Sept. and on...2005 had three form the 21st-23rd but it was the end of a long warm spell...

1959 had three periods three days or more above 80.

1968 had two but it also had the longest streak for late September with 10.

 

looks like we could get three days 80 or higher if Tomorrow and Monday reach that number...

85 and was hot at the rutgers game....beach on tap tomorrow. ..how can anyone enjoy this weather

..the beach on saturday was unbelievable..sunny,NO wind,water was warm,calm and clear.

couldn't recall a finer beach day for late september..looking to wrap up the beach season 

with another winner on sunday.

1PM Roundup in what will likely be the warmest day till next spring.  Although guidance indicates ridge build in on/around Oct 8 with more warmth but likely a bit cooler than today.
