Recent years have been notorious for producing record rainfall events 

with cutoff lows getting stuck  under strong blocking patterns.

We had the historic Nashville flood event this week back in 2010 to

go along with the historic rainfall totals around Pensacola.

This looks the 4th heaviest rainfall at Central Park since 2010 and tenth wettest day on record.

 

6.87".....8-28-11
