One things that irks me is going back 30 years in memory first half of january is such a snow hole in the heart of winter in the MA to get a MECS/ HECS . There is jan 96 and little else Jan. 96 was a rarity. There were a couple in the 60's also, but, yeah....so with that in mind if we can get 2 to 4" this week I'll be content (and checking the radar). SP Posted December 30, 2013 Share Posted December 30, 2013 Light snow on and off in the Poconos, nothing but decorative at best. Early last evening the rain changed to snow at 2100 FT. Light dusting covered the roads and cars. It was cool climbing up the road to our house. Below 2000 FT there was nothing on the surfaces, in fact the opposite side of our mountain which is about 150 lower had nothing. Anyway it was one of those cool elevation obs.
