Voyager
cell phone my friend..battery charger in the car That is my plan, but one has to wonder...How are the towers powered? And one has to also wonder if any of them get damaged by the high winds.

Shades
LGA already sustained at 21mph although they are above and beyond any other station right now. I can vouch on that, feeling the moderate breezes (20s mph) in Maspeth (north-central Queens) this morning. The funneling effect of the LI sound is prominent during E-NE wind events, often by a considerable magnitude compared to other station. Because of the shape of the coast, winds are "squeezed" through the Connecticut and northern Long Island shore, and into northern Queens. I would not be surprised if LGA comes in with gusts as high as observing locations on eastern LI because of this effect.
