I thought it was small hail at first but it's been coming down for almost an hour and there's 0.5" of it out there. Haven't seen sleet like that since GHD. The thunder and lightning is a nice touch. Today and yesterday have been reality around here for late March. High 42°. It's funny, I am (and the airport) at the highest area in in Lake County east of 94! 740'-750'! Driving heavy rain, temps in the 30s, lots of thunder, and the rain periodically mixed with both small hail and sleet. Took these pics at 11pm tonight, many hours after ice pellets had fallen, and this sill remained by the gutters. Had a very surprising 1.32" of rain today.
