dryslot
Yeah they are better for you..but it looked like it crossed SNE. Usually not the best solution when lows cross your region. I just went to allans site and saw them, It looks like its a NNE deal

Logan11
The crazy thing about this year is ..when these events turn less favorable, we can't even pull out a little front end or back end snow. It just won't snow (in 95% of the populated areas). I held out hope for just a few inches on the backside of tomorrow's low, but of course not. But I have been there before in some winters like 79-80, 88-89, 90-91. 91-92, etc... It's just been awhile.... Euro ensembles aren't great looking. Logan11
Clippers require latitude...not gonna help much unless you can move West Chesterfield about 1 degree further north in latitude. But hey I hope it trends south ...hah Yea, you could grab something, Pete....but I wouldn't be too pumped even if I were you.

It's not far off from something decent so I wouldn't totally dismiss it...but I think it's just wise to approach it with not great expectations right now. HoarfrostHubb
Class dismissed. Indeed. Probably better to start planning out baseball practice schedules and pool supplies than watch some of these BAOs (serious, not trolling)

Logan11
I have to commend Pete for keeping hope alive though.. It's just hard not to be cynical. What is a BAO.... Sometimes cynical=objectivity and "hope" is merely a euphemism for delusion....you also have to remember that perspective plays a role, as well...look where he lives; decent winter there. Logan11
Did you manage anything from the windex stuff? I did ultimately get a decent dusting ...which has now melted. CoastalWx
Class dismissed. I think it's a little premature to dismiss a clipper. It's not like we are expecting a KU.

CoastalWx
Is the euro out to this timeframe yet? Yeah it has a warm front like feature to our south on the 30th. Probably would be a little light snow with some onshore flow I think, but temps are borderline at the coast. It'd day 4+ so I don't think I would totally buy it yet..but it's not like a big snow event where it's easy to dismiss.
CoastalWx
There are a ton of s/w's modeled so right now..it's just on and off light stuff not really amounting to much on this run. We'll see how the ensembles look, because they were north of the 00z op..but maybe they'll shift south. There has been subtle tick south in the last 3-4 days. This run is a fail compared to 00z, but hopefully one of these s/w's pans out just right for at least a couple inches for someone. It looks bleak though. weathafella
Euro seems to be holding onto some snow for us with a decent antecedent air mass for the first time this season.
Damage In Tolland
It's about time to lock in a 1-3 or 2-4 type event on NYE. It looks like HM is going nail the first week of the NY

H2Otown_WX
Total torch @ hr 144. NE is spared the worst of it due to some lingering LLC but there's a 996 north of Lake Superior lol. Just when it looked like we might get a chance with the big PNA ridge the GFS and Euro cave in the blink of an eye.

This is the first setup in months that has looked decent The clipper? I wouldn't say it looks decent right now TBH. It could easily go across SNE and we're screwed. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't completely dismiss a clipper since they are NBD anyways.
