Wonder if we will get any storms later... or if those in WV now will pass SW of us

looks like the main mass would put d.c. on the northern edge though these things tend to bend south a bit over time .. there are a few cells to the north of the main area tho

cell near spencer is pretty wicked.. not much if anything to the lowest level but some rotation in it. almost hookish on regular radar view.

Definitely packing a punch... doing a core dump now. Must be some good hail to put out the 70-75 DBZs.

-----

The cell just to the WNW of that one looks impressive as well... time to pull out the laptop and fire up GRL3.

This cell has tightened up considerably in the last couple of frames... expecting a TOR warn should the circulation hold on the next scan.

This cell has just entered WV and is heading toward Ripley.

The rotation's weakened, but is still present as it starts to get taken over by the larger line of storms.

This is passing just to my north,,,steady lightning with it. Nothing severe heading directly towards me. It's dark a little earlier tonight.

Ellinwood -- Wed evening?

Looks decent... air will be too stable locally for any surface-based storms (most likely), but to the S and W where SBCAPE hits 500-1000+ J/kg it could be rather interesting. Jason and I will be looking it over in the afternoon and I'll do a write-up on it. Could be a good chase if the system cooperates.

Elevated CAPE looks good enough to initiate/sustain storms in our area, with a hail threat locally.
