Another valid concern. Saw a funny tweet about people (likely) getting stuck in the mud in Maine with the recent snow as they try and go off-road to get where they need to be. Seems probable enough haha.
If I got the energy I think I could make it to Burlington, VT, or the area surrounding Lake Champlain in general. It’s not that much further. Maine is too far and honestly too rural in the totality path.
I’m shifting my attention to the Syracuse area. Realizing it’s really not much further than SWNY and the forecast seems slightly brighter there. Here’s hoping.
Almost more fun than snow tracking. Also fun to keep perusing random PA/NY towns to figure out which small town I’d camp in for day. Dewittville? Sure why not
I’m still rooting for western PA or NY, but it’s looking worse. Don’t think I can stomach a one day trip all the way into the far northeast - we’ll see!
Not looking forward to making the call on Sunday. Room for things to change back but things looked much better a few days ago. Karma for rooting for Texas’ downfall lol.

I’m okay with NC State beating Duke. They can go no further though. as a UVA grad of my generation, our rivalry is VT > Duke > UNC > everyone else and you’d make a compelling argument to stick JMU in the mix if we could play them more… think it would be good to get them in the commonwealth clash mix somehow.
I’m becoming more interested in NW Pennsylvania or SWNY as opposed to Ohio as my eclipse destination. Haven’t been to that part of the state and have never seen one of the Great Lakes. Maybe make it a 2-for-1er.
People have been jokingly suggesting an eclipse severe weather outbreak. Would be very funny if it happened. $1,000,000 to whoever gets an eclipse tornado photo
